About the provider

Dr. Zovich earned his Bachelor’s degree at the Loyola Marymount University of California and received a Master’s in Human Nutrition at Columba University in New York. Dr. Zovich completed Medical School at the University of California, Los Angeles and completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University.

Dr. Zovich considers himself a local to San Luis Obispo as he has been practicing here for over 18 years. He has a large following of patients, whom are his number one priority. Dr. Zovich believes in developing strong relationships with his patients, this allowing his patient to have confidence and support in order to make the most informed decisions about their health. His goal is for patients is to return to him feeling better.

Dr. Zovich practices general gastroenterology in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders and the performance of endoscopic procedures. He has a special interest in esophageal disorder, nutrition and inflammatory bowel disease.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, his two sons and dog. Dr. Zovich every opportunity to be outdoors, surfing, paddle boarding and fishing.

The sheet of follow up information did not print properly, I asked counter person for a new print. She could not provide a new copy. I waited 10 minutes to ask my nurse for a copy, but she was with another patient. I asked if a copy could be e-mailed to me. It could not, I waited another 10 minutes, then left. I wold still appreciate a correctly aigned printed copy of Instructions.

Dr. Zovich is an excellent doctor. I have been seeing him for years. His staff in SLO was outstanding. I am horrified at the receptionist's incompetence, lack of professionalism, and disregard for the health and safety of patients in the waiting room. The receptionist only faced the waiting room when a patient drew her attention upon arrival. I was the only one in the waiting room wearing a mask properly and one of the patients not wearing a mask was coughing frequently. The receptionist was oblivious to this disregard of patient's health. I self-isolate as I am in several high-risk categories. I shall NEVER darken the door of the Templeton office of Dr. Zovich if I am so lucky as to dodge the COVID bullet despite the high-risk of COVID from sitting in the waiting room. I now understand why north county is a hotbed of the virus. I have been to see several doctors during the era of COVID and all require masks of patients as employees. Patients are instructed to wait in their cars until it is their time to see the doctor or other medical professional. I shall have to wait two-weeks to see if I contracted the virus at your office and I have instructed friends to cite your office as the cause if I do. I should add that I had to call over many days to finally get an appointment (was the universe trying to tell me something?). Finally, Renee, who, thank heaven, was with Dr. Zovich in his SLO practice and exhibits the care and professionalism that I had always received in his office, finally was able to get me an appointment. If I die from COVID, I guess it is my fault from being so persistent about getting an appointment. I can only surmise that Tenet "Health" puts profits before patients and cares nothing for the health and well being of those who are fool enough to seek their medical help. Again, I can not stress enough what an excellent doctor Dr. Zovich is as is Renee. Everything else is a disaster.

I would recommend Dr. Zovich without hesitancy and have done so in the past; however, my experience at the Templeton office makes me leary of doing so in the future.

Dr. Zovich and Renee were very professional. The rest of the office experience was a disaster and significant embarrassment for Tenet "Health."

I am conflicted.Again, Dr. Zovich and Renee worked together well and were very professional. On #1 and #2 I would give them 5s. The receptionist was a disaster as was the protocol to protect patients waiting in the waiting room. I give the rest of the experience 1s on both questions, thus the "poor" ratings. I can recommend Dr. Zovich without any reservations except for the process of getting an appointment, the lack of concern for the health of patients waiting in the waiting room (which is the blame of the receptionist), and

I've been seeing DR Zovich and his assistant, Renee for years. I drive over 160 miles round trip just to see them.
