About the Provider

Kathleen A. Kennedy, MD joined FCPP in November 2019. She is board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology. She manages patients with all tumor types as well benign and malignant hematologic conditions.

Her interest in developmental biology lead her to obtain a masters degree in developmental genetics. After graduation, she was involved in research at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation before entering medical school.

These interests and skills translate directly to medical oncology and allow her to teach patients about their disease and the drugs used. This knowledge is empowering, and helps to remove some of the fear associated with a cancer diagnosis. She wants to find out what is important to her patients, and see things from their point of view to figure out what they really need from a medical as well as social standpoint.
