We are continuing to improve healthcare access in our communities with Maryam Tabrizi, MD in our expanding network. Dr. Tabrizi is Board Certified in Family Medicine, her interests include preventive medicine, women’s health, and chronic care disease such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and osteoarthritis.

I had a good experience with Dr. Tabrizi and her Medical Assistant Blanca. The Dr. seemed to be very thorough and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. The test she ordered made sense, and she explained why, which I appreciated very much. She was a pleasant person to talk to. Not extremely friendly, but very nice. The one area she could maybe improve on is that it felt like she was in a rush. I don't know if this is her "normal" or if she was running behind, although my appointment was early morning. I would have like a little more time with her. She was in the room about 5 minutes and this was my very first visit. Being a new patient (and having been released from the hospital after nearly a 5 week stay) I would have like to have more time with her to discuss overall health. Hopefully I will be able to do that during the next visit after getting the blood tests completed.

My only issue I have ever had with Dr a Tabrizi is the fact that she never sits down and might as well have her hand on the door knob rushing off to the next patient. I understand with this type of medical group, you are only allowed so much time with each patient and are paid accordingly, but I would prefer a practitioner to sit down with me and speak more slowly and not always appear to be in a rush to move on. You know, like medicine used to be. Like my OB does:)
